yep a bolt with a notch in it.Is this another hard to find part ot should I just buy a bolt and notch it?I'm going with a brass tube cut to fit the for the oil dipstick tube is that gonna work?

On a side note you sound kinda like the guy at Jumpmaster school. Use the correct nomenclature! It's not a k-pot it's a ballistic helmet. It's not a cotter pin it's a safety wire and lanyard. Duct tape? pressure sensitive adhesive binding!    Sorry just had to!
Thanks for the help.

Of course you use the proper name. It works really well when everyone is on the same page also.  It gets pretty interesting when you have to deal with "thingy, do-dads, canuters, gizzard gaskets, that funny looking part with the notch".
Brass is pretty soft and as tight as the tube is in the case, you might swell it out while you are knocking it in and get it stuck, but its your "coal truck"
Your engine is a dual port with a "dog house " cooler ?  Look at your engine case and you will notice a threaded bushing that is pressed into the upper mounting hole. The mounting bolt is installed from underneath the car on a Super Beetle, but you have a '67 tranny that may or not have a cast in notch on the tranny case to help hold the bolt while you put the 17mm nut on from inside the engine comp. With you having a "off set dog house cooler" you will not be able to put the nut on. If your tranny has the notch ,you will not be able to turn the bolt  from under the car. The bottom line is if you have this kind of set up , You are SOL.
I wouldn't lose a lot of sleep over this because I would bet that at least 99.99% of the Bugs running around don't have that bolt anyway.

I'll take the tube if you can dig one up, that brass tube isn't gonna cut it.I figured there was a reason for the bolt thing. Works for me I guess.Just messin with you about the names as soon as a break all of them you can tell me the rest. :)
