She turns.  I always wanted to make a shift lever for it, so you could change the gears.... but everyone wouldn't leave it alone then.  I think it's best just like it is.

I did like how you could enguage a slower starter to rotate every thing.
Rick, is yours rotatable? or is it locked down?

You might ask Smelly_Cat, he seems to know a little about slow starters.

When we go to the Detroit show, seems like every manufacturer has BEAUTIFUL cut-a-way engines. They usually chrome everything and put it under bright lights. Everything turns and when the valves open on the intake stroke, blue leds light up the combustion chamber. Then on the exhaust stroke, they turn red as the exhaust valve opens. They are pretty impressive.

I've even seen those CVT transmissions cut down, which look pretty crazy.

I've got pictures somewhere...

Did we complete the transaction? I'd love to get a pic of the cutaway engine in its new home.

I was paid, but was asked to still hold the cutaway in storage.  Something to do with checking regarding the whole liability/insurance... I don't know any of that stuff.  That's where it originally lived, anyways, so whenever I need to deliver it, somebody just pass the word along.  It's ready to go.

Just as long as the schedule of events doesn't read "at Rick's house" I think I am safe....  :D :D

BTW.... where are we on the whole  delivery thing?  I may need to use the bus for some work in the next couple of weeks.  Is there a place at the dealership where I could go ahead and drop it off, and cover it up until the legal stuff is all taken care of?  Do I need to contact someone there and ask?

Spanks.   ;D

I was the one who talked with Dale at the dealership about displaying the engine He agreed to do that and picked out a spot to put it. I guess at this point, the club officers should decide about how to approach the liability aspect and one of them go talk to Dale. The legal stuff is out of my realm of knowledge... ???

Randall has the cutaway now, and is gonna start working his magic for the display case.

Can't wait to see it done up.   8)
