crank case needed

« on: September 18, 2007, 05:33:10 PM »
Listen up Kids, One of our own is in dire need of a type-1 case. Bob Cox ,one of our newest members lost a engine the other day.  Case was total due to the thrust brg. cutting the dowel pin off. I need a case for a '71 Super Beetle ( AE etc) NO JUNK but one I can at least alignbore in the .020-040 K range and not warped. Bob has owned this car for 27 years and its a pretty nice car and I hate to see him sell it or more or less give it away. Can anybody help us out here.
You can post here , call me @ 894-3374 or PM me
   Thanks Guys

Scott, I don't either, but need to check again. They can be any of the "A" cases as long as they are not fuel injected. Let me know when and where we can check them out. Bob is in a world of hurt here.
     Thanks

I have 1 ae case, 1 mexi case and one universal brazilian case. Not sure of any of them but you can check em if you want.I think the Brazil was the rodeo motor and the mexi had somethin that needed fixed, The AE I'm not sure we checked it's a recent addition.

Hows tuesday morning for ya? I'll bring a bisquit, you just bring your grumpy ole self to the door.(without the musket please.)  No grenades or other slick tricks either.
