I think he wants the round tube ones. The square tube one had two other tubes on it that were REALLY rusted. I cut them off cause they got bent up pretty bad and it took up less space without them. There is a hole where one of them was attached. It also has a trailer ball angle welded on it, but its you discretion. The angle has been cut and rewelded?!?!? It used to be chrome, but like all chrome, its turned to a lovely patina color.

Still for sale. I have not heard from anyone one except what's been posted in this thread. I will be without a VW for the cruise in tomorrow, which means I'll have my truck if anyone needs any of this brought over. Let me know if you need me to bring anything. I also live between the cruise in and the interstate if anyone wants to look at anything tomorrow.

I still have a lot of crap and ended up with a lot more this past Christmas Eve. I went to pick up 3 wheels for $30 for a friend...and came home with a truck load and a little less money than I started with...

Other things I have include:

If you see anything that you might be interested in, let me know. I still have most of the original stuff that was posted in this ad as well... I've sold some things.

Do you still have the Baja bumper and engine cage that I never picked up?  Hey, I've only been back from vacation for a year and half . . .   ::)

Don't think so. I have the square tubing one from more of a buggy. It's decent, but not great- chrome has surface rust- some pitting.

Is he totally out now?

I still want the engine!
It may be the spring though, I'll need the carbs and tin we discussed. I'll get an exact count of which pieces.

Zen, I will not be here when you come back from vacay, I have a new Job at Plant DJ waiting on me as of the 2nd....

Dang, I was looking forward to cleaning up that corner of the garage... It will be ok, I've survived without that corner for a while already. What's a few more months?

Who's my friend?

But that seat may have come with your bus and your just now listing it...

I'll get the engine asap, but I'm tight for a mos or so if I buy the Civic (likely).

No not Rob. I just threw the photo up for the first time. Its up in the rafters right now. Also have a set of early bus front seat frames and pads too!

I got this from an older man in East Ridge.

Plant DJ . . . is that one of the Plants in Ringgold?  I know I should know where it is . . . I know I've been to it . . . but after a while they all run together.  Anyway, good luck with the new job!  We'll miss you at SI/SP.  Guess I gott'a get Homer running again so there will be an air-cooled VW in parking lot.   8)

The front bumper with overrider, do you still have it? Does it have the brackets on it also? Any chance one of the decklids is a '63?

I was planning on running it until bugapaluza and then asking $150 for it at the show. Its not a pristine version of it, but it is one of the original german ones. The really nice ones go for a lot more.

I am working on making a copy of it though
