Camper Stuff

« on: January 22, 2008, 05:10:38 PM »
OK, people...
I'm looking for some pieces to put a camper together.
I'm converting my '69 Kombi, so anywhere from a 68-71 model should be good.
What I need:
...(2) side windows, louvered.
...folding rear camper seat, cushions not important, but I do need the hinges, hardware, etc.
...rear cabinet, passenger side.  I'll be cutting it down even with the bed, so if there is any damage in the upper section, no big deal.
...Folding table (wall mounted).  Actually, I may have one, but can't find the thing anywhere.

Cash, trades, checks signed by fictitious people, whatever, just let me know on here or by pm, whatever.
Thanks, everybody.

i have some stuff out of a 72...  table isn't good, but i do have the hardware if your into building one your self... that was my plan, but i've switched my plans abit. also have the cabinet, its not great either. sun damage, and molding would have to be replaced. i still plan on using the fold out seat... i have other stuff, but mostly the woods gone, but still have the hardware.  im going to look at a camper here in the next few days, and see if i can talk the owner into leting it so so i might have some more part if that goes well. not sure what year but from the road looks like a 73+...

Thanks, man.  Might get with you.  The only prob. is that they changed the style of finish on the cabinets in '72, so I'd have to replace all of them to match.  What all do you have?  I'd like to keep the earlier style stuff if possible, but don't know yet.
If nothing else, I could use the bed as pattern, and build another if need be.  Does it still have all of the hardware and the cushion base, etc.?

its been a while since i've dug in my pile that came out of that camper. ill try and give a little info. the wood on the fridge, and table is about usles.. i was planning on using it for a pattern, and just making it all up by hand. the hard ware is still in good shape as much as i can remember. cabinet isnt real bad, but the trim is all shrunk up. the shelves, and bracing are kinda chiped up, and looks kinda like there was a pull down cover or something inside the cabinet that covered the hole on the side. i have the rear cusion, usefull for a pattern thats about it. also the cover for the spare tire hole, a front mount for a tire. i do have the side windows, but im not sure of the condition since i havnt had time to try and clean them up. also i pulled an old hurst shifter out of it. i cant remember it all, but most of its worn. from what i was told it had been sitting under a tree for 10 years or so... i did pull the camper top, and the hardware...

The big thing right now is probably the side windows and that seat base (folding bed).  If the windows are intact (no missing panes/ mechanisms), I'm very interested in those.  I have been able to resurrect old camper windows, but really like to have something complete to try.  I think I have a set of the screen frames, so I mainly need the window/ frame/ mechanisms.  Knobs are a plus, but I think I've seen those aftermarket somewhere.
