Bus Side Tent

« on: November 17, 2012, 03:48:14 PM »
I swung by the Gear Closet, a local thrift store/ consignment store for outdoor gear, and they went nuts over my bus. The girl immediately took me in a back room to show me a tent for my bus. It was a very nice side tent with all the stuff but it wasn't priced. They called and found out it was to be priced at $500.

If anyone wants it, I have their consigners contact info or you can go by the store on Cherokee blvd.

$500 really isn't bad for an original, complete tent in good shape.

yeah... but its a lot for an accessory that I wasn't actively seeking out. I figured they were all too expensive for me and my taste, so I had never really wanted one. If one ever showed up cheap enough, I'd jump on it...but it'd have to be really cheap. I was hoping they would say $150 or something and I would have gotten it. Oh well.

If anyone needs/wants one, this one looked nice without rips and tears. The rubber rain gutter piece looked pretty decent

They make a nice addition to a bus, but really you can get a modern tent that's more practical. The Westy tent is heavy and not as easy to set up, especially for one person. That's why I only use mine like once or twice a year.
