Bus parts to be scrapped on Monday

« on: June 25, 2011, 04:37:27 PM »
I have saved the parts Eike and Zen want. I still have to strip the doors and hatches of their mechanisms but I'll do that tomorrow.

Does anyone see anything they need? I've save a few pieces of the floor for patching and I am not ready to scrap the roof yet b/c I know that a lot of folks have rusty rain gutters and this one is still nice. So if you see any sheet metal pieces you'd like, let me know...FAST

Driver's read quarter:

Just behind the slide (a.k.a. NOT Zen's friend's piece) and a spare tire well:

Zen and Eike's pieces with the roof, floor pieces, bumper and random metal all around:

Passenger side rear quarter and doors (jealousie is already spoken for):

Part of the walk through and the old crusty nose under neath:

Any and all of it is up for grabs (except the frame and Zen's and Eike's parts). I will glady GIVE it to you if you need it. Otherwise, its getting scrapped! Let me know ASAP!

Nick... do you have any of the metal from under the passenger rear window area (where the sliding door track is located)?  and is it any good?

Let Me Know.   ;D

It would be either of these two pieces. I cut through the track because I thought I was saving the piece Zen wanted, but it wasn't. If either of those interest you. I can have them to the shop tomorrow! Hows that for service?!?!?

You just want both of those whole pieces? Or one or the other? I don't care, just want to make sure that I bring what I need to bring!

You don't need a roof clip do you?!?!?

I guess both of those whole pieces... I am having to repair the rotted window sealing/ door track area on Junstin's bus with them....

And, NO... do not bring me a whole roof.   :D

Hey Rick, I know this thought is really "off the wall", but as I read your reply I had this thought: since you live on Signal Mtn.(I think), how cool would it be to make a family sled from a bus roof for winter snow time fun.   :o :o

A sled would be cool... but its a westy. So you'd have a large hole to fill or avoid....

Nope, it was just the body shell with windows in it. I wish it had a beam with it... it wouldn't have been available if it did though!
