Brake reservoir lid

« on: November 10, 2012, 09:24:41 PM »
Anybody have a brake reservoir lid? Went to bleed my brakes and the lid fell into pieces. Previous owner tried to superglue but it did not hold.

Try a cap from a plastic Coke bottle, if I remember right the threads are the same.

Depends on which reservoir. The coke bottle cap might work on some, but never on anything I've ever owned. Try a cap from a bottle of rubbing alcohol. That's what I've used

If you find a cap that fits, be sure to punch a small hole in so it will feed. I have seen cases where the master cyl  would not let the fluid flow, but find the proper cap.
