Beetle Body Needed

« on: December 15, 2007, 05:20:28 PM »
I am looking for a beetle body any year with a flat windshield.  I would like for it to be as straight/solid as possible from the windshield back including the rear fenders.  Good glass, doors, rear deck lid.  Doesn't matter if its a supper or if its been hit in the front.

I have been bitten by the Volksfolks creative bug!    :idea1:
If all goes well it will make its debut at BAP 10.   :-#

I can help you out with painting advice . . .

1) Don't try to get of a paint job cheap . . . spend an extra dollar per can and get Krylon.

2) Don't try to paint if the wind is blowing more than 10 mph.

3) Don't paint if it's raining.

4) If you want a really slick finish, wipe the chucks of the dirt and any big bugs off of it first.

5) If you have rust spots, tap it a time or two with a rubber hammer to knock the loose stuff off and coat it good with rusty metal primer.

I've got a couple dozen more paint tricks, but I don't want to share all of them . . .
