WTT woodworking tools for VW - good stuff.

« on: January 19, 2010, 04:50:11 PM »
I have some nice professional wood working tools (power) that I would be willing to trade for the vw you no longer want. I am wanting a Pre 1966 beetle, bay window bus, or a split window. If any thing else, just send a description / photos.

With the exception of the Radial arm saws, all are belt driven, If you know tools then you'll understand this.

I was a proffesional woodworker for 6 years, I did this full time and provided a living for my family this way.  I now work for industry around 50 hrs a week and have no time.  I am focusing on VW's and the woodworking will have to wait for another 30yrs untill I retire...
I have:
2 Radial arm saws (10" w-numerous blades and attachments Rigid (american made rigid) and craftsman)
1 15" thickness planer floor model (Early Jet 240 V 5 hp  with 3 sets of blades weighs 400 lbs)
1 18" open sided drum thickness sander (Delta with extra paper)
2 shappers (craftsman and some other name, both cast iron and heavy - lotsa heads)
7 or 8 regular routers with LOTS of bits
1 heavy duty router Rigid magesium 4 or 5 hp used to make raised pannels.
1 3 hp dust catcher system 6' high bags
1 lathe with duplicator (craftsman 42")
1 mortising machine
1 6" joiner planer
1 Delta rockwell 20" throat scroll saw (heavy duty)
1 craftsman belt sander approx 42" belts w/ 10" sanding disk.
1 Delta Unisaw with Bessimer T-square fence system (52" on right side of blade extension.)
30ish pipe / bar clamps 3/4" heavy 3'-18' in length
2 inline sanders, 2 DA sanders (all air)
1 5hp 60 Gallon (horiz) 2 cyl, 2 stage compressor, it'll outrun a DA sander wide open!  I now use it to pump up my tires :(

I have a whole portable metal building (12'X24' w/rollup door) full so I am sure that there is alot that is forgotten.
(building can be moved and is included in the right deal...Has a manifold system with quick connects all over and has a 200 amp breaker box with 240 and 110 set ups in building.)

All tools can be tested as they are set up and ready to go.  They have been left pretty much unused for the past 3.5 years.

Not really interested in selling, just trading - not a hardship sale, so no crazy offers.   I know what I have made off these and they are paid for, and do not eat anything.  If you have a nice VW I am willing to trade.  I will not just give them for junker.  I can show you my cataloge of furniture produced with them (I was really a professional).  I have gallons of stain and varnish, you could litterally go into buisness with this setup.

I'll send photos if you want, let me know.
