Two Bugz - One Low Price!

« on: October 24, 2006, 06:38:30 PM »
My next door neighbor here in Burlington, NC has two wonderfully rusted Vintage VW Beetles he is trying to get rid of. One is a '65 and the other a '66.
The '65 has original owners manual, radio manual and the original bill of sale. It is blue and has fair (okay - lots) of rust including the standard need for new heater channels and floorpans. All glass is good. No engine in this one, BUT,
The '66 also comes with lots of FREE rust and includes the Bedrock Motors style open bottom (needs floorpans too). But this one does have an engine though he doesn't think it runs. It has a wonderfully faded earthtone sand color to go with its brick rust color.
Both vehicles need lots of interior work.
Price is $350 for the both and I'll throw in a FREE meal at Chez McDonalds.
His name and number is Kenny Crawford - 336-222-1548 or send me an email at VWBugz@gmail.com and I'll give him a message.

Those look they belong in my yard!

You know, it you were to take the blue one, throw some old Volks Folks tie-dyed t-shirts over the seats, rivit in a piece of an old road sign here and there in the floor, lower it, bolt on some BRMs, drop in a big engine . . .     8)

Alright Scott, Here is your chance to get into a "Hoodride" because the hood looks like the only place to sit without getting a terrible case of butt road rash. There might be $300 worth of handles ,switches, knobs and stuff like that or you can apply for a Federal Grant and put them back on the road.  Whew !!!! To much to deal with on my part
I think you should go for it before Jason beats you to them.
I bet Smelly Cat could get them back on the road pronto if he had enough old dryers.
Show us what you are made of Scott. I'm watching and waiting. 8)

Keep waiting,it's tempting but...I got too much on my plate already.
If they were around town I'd jump on it. Not to thrilled about a trip to NC unless it's to sell a house. Plus I've already got a big window bug. :D
I have turned this add over to the proper people in NC so if you want anyone wants them you better jump on it.

Ah !! You are getting more wise everyday. Do I remember something about a split window bug out west ?  I wouldn't trade it for 20 Bugs that looked like those two. I really think they are past Last Rites unless you are desperate and are really, really bored for something to do.
You need to head west to claim a real treasure. When are you leaving?
