SOLD

« on: March 08, 2011, 11:30:24 AM »
I am tired.  And, I am done with the bugs.  many of you have seen/ heard of my bug before... it is finally for sure up for sale now.  I need the cash for other projects and could use the space for said projects as well.  The brief version:

1964 Beetle Sedan
Pearl White Exterior
Brick Red Interior
og 40hp motor
6 Volt
VERY straight and MINIMAL Rust... package tray area has gleaming og paint
Clear title in my name
$1500/ offers

Currently disassembled, needs a complete go-through to make it road worthy.... 95% complete car... (carb missing, running boards missing)

Was running and driving when i took it apart in October 1998.

Make me a tempting offer.  If i get what i am asking, you will also receive an extra front beam, transaxle, drum to drum, and some extra hoods/ doors... and anything else beetle related I have (that's a lot), A tow bar to take it home and keep for yourself... I am ready to move on.  I need and want it gone now.  Thanks.

A pic as she sits now...

Cant believe your letting it go!!!
If youve never seen this car do yourself a favor and bring cash, look and buy it! For $1500 you get enough stuff to build the car twice.
I wish I was back home i'd be on it like a fat kid on a cupcake.
Again Ive seen it several times including when it was in bear metal this is an easy car to get going and everything is there.

Don't give up on those projects.  It has taken Lamar 10 years to get around to the 59 project car.  It's looking mighty fine by the pictures we have seen.  It'll be back home by BP-13.  Can't wait to see it finished.

I have actually already made some arrangements for a down payment on a car that is right in line with what i have a had a desire for almost 25 years now... and, talking to the current owner, the deal sounds better all the time.  I just have to hold my breath untill i can ship it down here, but let's just say that the gas mileage won't be quite as good as a bug, and it has plenty of room for the 5 of us.   8)

I think I will just sit in the living room and listen to some vinyl on my refurbished 1959 RCA Victor Stereo until she gets here....
