Rick has let me bring my Beetle over to the R&M Automotive parking lot and park it with a for sale sign in it. So if any one is asked if they know about a beetle for sale the person can look at it there while i am away in Iowa from June 27th thru July 5th. Rick has the signed title and keys there so all the person wanting to buy it is get the ok on the price from me ( cell phone number is 423-667-5004 or wife's cell 423-667-6037 ) and give them the cash and it is yours. The price is dropped again to $2500.00 at this time.  Thanks for any interest as i again need the money for my move to Iowa. ........... Rob

I know the feeling, I have a 9 month old that likes to pull or slap the laptop while I type.

well guys, it has been a long and hard time but it is sold. The guy from knoxville bought it. I AM WITH OUT A VW. IT HURTS ALREADY AND IT HAS BEEN GONE FOR LESS THAN AN HOUR !!!!!  Sorry for the rant. I also want to thank Rick for letting me park it at R&M for the time it took to sell. I guess i will have to start looking in barns etc when i get moved there.

yep he did but i also got what i wanted as my bottom line. i also did not ask what he was going to do with it. One of his sons lives here and has some a couple rail jobs and his other son up there that has a vw or 2 and is not part of the club, so i told them to join the club here and up there.

It is like a guy on a custom car show i heard say " doing a custom or restored car gives you fun and happyness and when you sell it you get 50 cents on the dollar ". I just found out that he is right. The one good thing about the sale is that i now have the money for the move and about 90% of the repairs on my house in Iowa. Another is that there seems to be a bunch of estate sales etc up there every week and they have a vw or 2 on and off i can look at getting and starting over. I also will have a two car garage big enough to put 3 cars in ( 4 if beetles ) to work on one correctly if and when i do get another.
