Joe , This looks like a good project for you. You need somthing else to work on to keep you busy and not antagonizing your Southern Brothers. We may have lost The War,but we now have something better than Dela-Force-----Kudzu !!     See you in the Spring ??

Oh sure, we have Kudzu, but we can't transport the stuff.  It devoured the last three trucks we tried to load it into to begin the offensive.

Joe, See what I mean about that stuff.  The Kudzu in the photo might be a month old, maybe a little older.

You'd need more than a goat.  Kudzu is the only plant that grows faster than a goat can eat it.   8)

Wasn't that what they attempted to use to rid the plant?
Is the Army Corp of Engineers responsible for introducing the stuff to the states?

I think you are correct about the A.C.E. introducing Kudzu to the South.
It was to slow down or prevent soil erosion on clay hillsides and other places that nothing else would even think about growing. With a growing  rate of about 5 -10 feet a day in perfect warm moist condidtions, It didn't take long to over run things.
Now only if we could get this stuff to take over the U.S.Senate and Congress ,Iraq,Iran, Pakistan ,  maybe there is hope yet.

I remember when I was a kid all the "old folks" call it inch-a-minute vine.  On a warm sunny day in June after a good rain, they weren't too far from correct!

Check out the picture below.  They were all taken in 2001 and show the  same cabin near Dalonaga, GA.
