I've seen a yellow Thing down on rossville blvd at a wrecker lot. body looks good no top and their letting it just sit out without a cover. anybody know about this one? Dad tried to talk to them about it but they were adamant about that it wasn't for sale. I hate to see it sit there and rot.
Nick, I watched a '39 Lasalle (?) Limo rot to the ground in East Ridge a long time ago. I bugged them sell to me so often that they told me not to come back. They were going to restore it someday.  About 2 years later I was told it went to the crusher It did run. So sad :'( :'(

^^^ That sucks.   :(

I have seen the thing, if memory serves... didn't look too bad from the road.  But, then again, neither does my bus.   :D

How long ago was that? I've seen that one and I thought it was for sale...

I work on the Southside so I might run by there one day and strike up a conversation if they'll let me.

Go for it, I'm afraid if dad goes down there again they might get mad. When he looked at it about 2 weeks ago he said the paint was bubbled in a couple of spots which may mean they did a bad paint job. But hey a little elbow grease can fix that right?

oh and we just tried to go see a friend of dad's friday night who collects Things and he wasn't home so we went on down to rossville blvd and it was sitting at the corner of the fence facing the road. So as of the 24th it was still there.

There was an orange one for sale on a back road in Chickamauga a few weeks ago.  I'll have a friend that lives close to it see if it's still there.

Seems like I was told it was around 6 grand . . . but I've slept since then.  If it's still there, I'll drive by after work tomorrow afternoon and check it out.

4500.00
Interesting front and rear bumpers.  It appears to have the "Fiber Fab " wider rear fenders. I had a set of those on my '73 when I ran "Desert Dog" rear tire and rims. Also had a 4:86 ring and pinion plus a 1850cc stroker engine. A bear off the road.
If this car looks as good as the photos might suggest, It might be a good deal. Look for patched up rust spots. Things love to rust.
