« on: May 29, 2010, 04:18:24 PM »
I am looking for a bug, year doesn't matter, as long as it is old, I learned from before about sticking money into these cars, that i dont want to do that again, I would like to have something that i could afford, which isn't much. let me know what you all have, thanks...

the days of the cheap beetle are over, good luck finding one that runs and drives for under 1000

That'd be a good bet, I looked at that one myself. Runs okay, nothing special, pretty crusty, but with some $$$ thrown at it, it'd be pretty in no time.

If roadkill doesn't buy it this weekend, bring your own tires and $1500 and you can get the '70 beetle and drive it home (with title!)  If you have no wheels or tires, $2K with a great set of Empi 8's and practically new tires.

Forgot to mention that I comes with a good set of German Fenders and Hood.
The car is like 6 miles from "down town" Cohutta.
If no one buys it, in the next two weeks, I'm just gonna keep it and drive it...
Let me know if you want to see it this weekend.

Call me at lunch or after 5pm and I'll meet you over there.
If you wanted it, I could drive it to your house, then take off the wheels / tires.

I have a set of Turtle Back wheels that I will also let go for the $500 with a set of tires already mounted.  Either the Empis or the turtle backs would look good on this car.

I'll be working at the new place this evening, and could run over to the old place any time, the car is running and ready to go, (brakes could use adjusting, oil change etc.)
I think that Roadkill is more interested in my '68 Wesy any way, so come ovfer and look at it.

Let me know and call me.
