He's got it on there three times . . . the other two ads (in auto parts and recreational vehicles) say it's priced at "$2500 for a quick sale."

That ad in the "Barter" section says he's wanting to trade for a "Large motorcycle, sports car, hot rod, VW IRS rail buggy. No junk!"          I'd like to see what he considers "junk!"

"A new body to put on your pan is $10K This is a very rare collectible car with the looks of a multi million dollar race car."             If you like the looks of it from the front, you should see the other ads . . . they show the rear of it!

If you do get it SC, make sure it has the gull wind door for the driver's side (missing in the photos).  Good luck trying to find a replacement for it if he don't have it.

THe car was reposted  with this,  I 'm gonna offer $1499.   SC

917 Porsche kit car with VW steel wheels needs engine and restoration first $1750 firm 770-xxxxxxxxx The drivers window is inside the car. The right skirt is loose. No more messages about taking $1500, no I will not take $1500! I will donate the car for a tax deduction before I take $1500. The first $1750 owns it! Or I donate it.

If I remember correctly I saw the same ad yesterday with the owner wanting to trade it for a V8 engine and labor to put it in his 1976 Buick Skyhawk.

These 917's  really looked good when they were new, but I have a problem with these 917 kit cars.
With the original 917 having Twin turbo 1200 hp flat 12 cylinder monster in the rear I would really be embarrassed and mortified to drive the dang kit car around sounding like VW bug and getting blown off by a old Subaru with a mashed  top.
