Close but I don't think mine is quite that high. This car is running the same set up as mine though. These cars are not KDF's do to the running gear. KDF's are the stock Bug of the time. Do to the Kubel type running gear these cars would be Type-82e

I like David's a lot more.  he is using an earlier, small window car as a basis, and is going to have the help of some nameless slacker installing a split window kit in the rear for the added sexy factor.   8)

It should be pretty darned kewl.  With any luck, i'll steal it when he's not looking.   ;D

I'm planning to get serious about Rhinehart this spring if my body holds up. Its going to be fun painting the France in the Fall of 1940 camo. Just think, taping off the glass only YEA !!   I have a lot of org. period "stuff" to add. I will have to make a roof rack that goes the full lenght of the top from just over the windscreen to just over the rear split window. It will bolt on.  This car will be a radio recon car if I can find a period German field radio. It doesn't need to work. The way this thing is geared ,I'll be lucky if it will go 55 mph.('53 Barn Door bus tranny). But that would be up-hill or downhill .So get off my back NICK. Just move over and let the Big Dog play ;D ;D
And yes NICK it does have 2 speed wipers and a steel top.

Of course you don't . They do it by themselves . They come with jokes already installed. Just pick a switch ,turn/pull it and watch what happens. :o

There is a guy in Chickamauga that does the military jeeps has all the Kwagen metal plates (copies) as well as some REAL SS and regular german plates.
The repro tags were cool and would look great on your car.
Let me know and I'll get you a # for him.

The Body tags and shift pattern plates (there are like 6 different plates) those are repops.
The licence plates are the real deal that he dug up in Poland.  He is a neat dude.
I'll see what he is willing to part with in the real plate department.
I am planning on getting a set of the KDF repop tags just to have.
When I get them, I'll run them by you so that you can see them.
