sold -

« on: April 22, 2013, 09:01:21 PM »
OK,
I have the desire to pass Albert along.
I put him out for a few hours at BAP on Saturday with the following:
$5,500 or trade.
I have put about 120 miles on it since I got it in November ~ 800 since 1600 SP was built.
I figure David can answer any specifics you might have, but it is solid and looks GREAT.
I already have an offer of a 1975 vert SB that is pretty nice.
I would like to keep Big AL in the club, so if your interested, let me know.
The person that I would be trading with is like me and goes through ALOT of VW's so it will not stay local more than likely if it is traded to him.
He has seen it at my house and offered it when he saw I had it for trade.

I am open to any real offers, VW - h20 or air, or things that go bang and cash.
Not into boats (nick...) or motorcycles.

Any interest?
I'll leave it here for a week or so then onto the Samba for a week or so then I'll trade for the vert if not gone.
When I make a decision to get a car gone, it goes pretty fast, so do not dilly dally.

shucks! If I could move the boat, I might be interested! But I don't have room with the boat around

If I had the money,I would buy Albert back and keep him forever or at least sell him to someone who would really appreciate having him. Everybody  had a shot at Albert last summer for a grand less and I couldn't give him away. :(  Oh well.

David,
I am disappointed in my self a little, but I am not "feeling" Big Al.
Can't describe it, but it just isn't there.
I still wish I hadn't sold the Autostick, that is the one that Got away for me.
Any way, I'll do every thing to keep it in the club but I would like a different VW.
Also included with the sale is the domain name:
www.allisondaytona.com

Let me know.

That seems to be thing with you "not feeling " for your Rides after you buy them. What are you exactly "feeling for".  Unusual infliction ;D ;D

Albert de Allison WAS my Allison dune buggy that I restored. Pretty rare buggy. Most old VWs have names around here. Long time custom to name your VWs. ;D ;D

Thanks Zen and Dubtech.
It was at BAP for a few hours on Saturday.
I just litterally have too much on my plate now and have got to thin the herd.
Have a good solid 914 offer for the bus, that I am considering as well.

I'd love to bring Albert home with me, but I don't think he would like living outdoors under a pecan tree.  Somebody around here needs to scoop this one up and keep it local!
