[SOLD] 86 Turbo Diesel Jetta

« on: October 21, 2012, 10:52:16 PM »
For reference, it's the car from this thread: http://www.volksfolks.org/forums/vw-rides-builds-and-projects/turbo-diesel/

I'd really like someone to get it from my yard. It currently can't be driven very far because the front calipers sieze up and won't release. I've tried my best to fix it, but I gave up. So the car is a bit of a project, but if the brakes get sorted, it could be an awesome DD.

Has a new battery, but something is drawing the battery down pretty hard if it sits. I suspect it's the voltage regulator, there really isn't a lot of electronics in the car.

You get it all minus the RAs, those are gone. It's got the stock steelies with so-so tires on them, you'd probably want your own wheels and tires to put on. It's on Bilstein shocks and struts except for the rear passenger which is the original shock. But it sits nice and low on Neuspeed race springs.

Engine runs great, injection pump has been resealed so it doesn't leak but is probably headed for a rebuild at some point. Has new axles and wheel bearings, plus all new brake components: booster, master cylinder, hoses, calipers, pads. I added the spoiler and replaced the door cards inside. I have all receipts from what I've put into it myself plus clear title.

Bring $1400 and a trailer and take it home! I don't want it to deteriorate in my yard anymore, and if doesn't sell soonish it's just gonna get parted out.

I wish I had the cash in hand... I'd take on this project. But I don't... I want a turbo diesel on a Dasher budget!

Augggggh.
I am thin on dough, because of the committed relationship I have with Fozzy the Bus now.
I also just made a commitment on a sweet deal for a Fiberglass beach buggy.

Before you part it out let's talk.
I need another car Like I need a hole in the head, but I am interesdted if no one get's it in the next week or so.

Are those 14's that are on it or 13's?
I still have those phone dial clones that would look great on this.
I love to trade on stuff if you need any thing.
