I looked at it a year or so ago while they were repairing the rusted out muffler in the Passat . . . it look like it was in excellent condition.  I tried to talk the guy into visiting one of our club meetings, but he didn't really seem to be that "into" VWs . . . I think this was his wife's car and I kind'a got the feeling that he wouldn't miss it too much if it was gone.

I wonder if I could buy it and swap it out with Joy's yellow convertible without her knowing it?  I'm sure I would come out cheaper than fixing everything that's wrong with her's.

You're probably right.   :?   She probably wouldn't mind the "swap" . . . but I'd probably catch heck over the $8500!

So, I guess I need to get her's back on the road.  Rick, how much do you charge to install GOOD floor pans?  The passenger side is only a few years old, but it's a cheap one installed with pop rivits (and it's getting rusty because the top leaks) and the driver's side has no pan at all.  It might also need a little rust repair on the bottoms of the heater channels in a coupel of places . . . and a good bit of rust repair in some other places . . . and a top . . . and new interior . . . and some front suspension work . . .     But it's gott'a have a driver's side pan before I can drive it anywhere . . . unless I practice up on my YABA-DABA-DOs.
