Fiberglass Dune Buggy project on rolling chassis $1,000

« on: May 31, 2011, 11:25:57 PM »
I have a Dune buggy project that I started and never finished and have no plans to finish it.  The Body looks like a Manx style and needs fresh paint.  The project is only the body on a shortened chassis.

The body had cutouts for early Mustang Headlights and needs virtually no repair only prep and fresh paint.  You would need to purchase seats, wiring harness windsheild roll bar, head light buckets, ect. A new fiberglass body would cost somewhere in the neighborhood of 1500 dollars.  That is just a bare body.

The Chassis is an early IRS one that had new floorpans constructed of 10 guage steel and is framed with 16 guage 1x2 steel tubing.  The suspension would probably need to be freshened up and painted. If you were to purchase a tubular chassis and then find front beam other components you would probably spend a few thousand dollars.

This is a very fair price and I am not willing to budge on it.

This buggy could probably be finished for around 3000 dollars or less if you did some of the work yourself and didnt buy a 5000 dollar engine/tranny.

If interested please feel free to call me or send me an email.  423-605-1085
