They don't rust out from salt on the roads, but they still rust out down here.  Usually from the inside out.  But, it's no big deal.  A correctly cut piece of plywood will keep the battery in the car and a good set of rubber mats will keep rainwater from spraying up through the floor on you.  Floor pans are over-rated!  8)

By reading Smelly Cat's posts in the Slow Starter forum I would suspect that holes in the floor boards were an alternate source of motivation for his Dub(Fred Flintstone Mobile) :lol:
