Allison

« on: January 20, 2011, 10:11:16 AM »
After much tossing and turning and grinding of teeth, we have decided to sell the Allison Buggy. :o We drove that car 35 miles last year.  It has about 350 total miles on it in 3 years.  Has strong running stock 1600 SP that I built. ALL new brakes, Cly's , hoses etc.
Brand new tires on the original Shelby alloys. No top.  clear Tn. title .  These Allisons are now pretty rare critters. This car is one of the last shorten pan body's with the flair wheel wells and a little longer hood.   Asking $4000.

It is Green/alabaster white. Rick took that pic before it was running. Engine wasn't installed ,no wipers yet, and no new tires yet. The only thing that it needs is to put a couple of bolts in to finish locking the roll bar to the sides of the body. It hasn't been started for a month or so I need to fire it up . It has a new battery also. Allison's were known for their heavy hand laid  fiberglass. No chopper gun stuff here. About 3 times more thick than a Manx.

Very true... I had a manx clone years ago that looked like a sheet of notebook paper when you sat it next to the body on this one.  A very nice buggy if your dad is looking for one, Travis.   8)

Allen,  Three reasons I'm doing this.  Driven only 35 miles in a year,  health,  Economy.  I hate it but I'm going to have to do it. I still have the Type-82e to finish if I  am able.
Why don't you buy it so I can have visitation rights ;D ;D

I'd snatch it up in a heartbeat, but
 1. I don't have a place to put it and
 2. I don't have $4000

Soooo . . . I'll just add, I've seen it up close and personal. You won't find a better bargin on a buggy anywhere.  Someone in the club need to get it . . . and get it fast.  It won't last long at this price.

Hey, I just remembered where I hid my piggy bank!!!!

I dug it out and cracked it open . . .

Now I need $4000 for the buggy and $10 for a new piggy bank.   >:(

I've been scraping nickles together for the past week . . . now I have a broken piggy bank and two nickles with scape marks on them. :(  One last try . . . I'm gonn'a run down to the 7-11 and dig through the trash for a winning lottery ticket.  If that pans out for me, I'll be giving you a call in a little bit.  I wish I'd of been born rich instead of good looking!   ;D

Anyway, I hope someone in the club has the cash and the good sense to recognize what a bargin this is!  I've got one, just not much hope of getting the other anytime in the near future.
