I know the price of air cooled VWs keeps climbing, but if this one sells I'm going to put all of my VWs on eBay and retire!

Holy Cow!!!!!!!! This has to be a joke. Check his feed back and amount of post he has put up. No photos. If this is the case,  I have a set of VW cog gear marked con rods that must be worth at least $500 each. How about a vintage weed eater for $6,000 ?

The car is located in Ossining, NY - home of the fabled SingSing Prison.  With a price like that and no photo's I'm bettin' the seller is someone behind bars using a prison library computer or something.

From the payment directions it sounds like he wants the buyer to send CASH or MONEY ORDER to a P.O. Box BEFORE the car is picked up.  Yep, I agree with Bugz . . . sounds like he doing this from behind bars.  If he's not behind bars, he probably should be.

The buyer will call 914-944-9255 and we will set up to give the buyer directions to come pick up the car in Ossining NY. Once the car is bought you can not return. The payment has to be paid in full with Cash or check or money order at time of purchase and has to be sent to: Scott Gallery, PO Box 2001, Ossining NY 10562

No bids, I'm surprised. At a $54,000 starting bid I just have to know what his reserve price is. Plus he's got no pictures, not even a stock photo, and the seller has 0 feedback, and he spelled Volkswagen wrong. Maybe I'm not so surprised.  8)

How 'bout at 10 year old, partially eaten grilled cheese sandwitch for $28,000?    P.T. Barnum was right.  One is born every minute.
