I've got a 59 double cab i'd sell.....it just needs a little work, but i'm pretty sure that it was running when it was parked...

I love seeing classified ads that say "was running when parked".  I mean, really, how does that justify anything?  Who gives a *&@# that it was running 20 years ago when you parked it.  That doesn't help things now.  And BTW, if it was in running order, why did you just park it and forget it?  Just one of my pet peeves.

Even better than that is the classic....there was nothing wrong with it when we parked it.....

 :tard:

I just want to tell these crack-heads, you know, those concrete planters are a lot cheaper, and they don't take up nearly as much room....

And if it wasn't running when it was parked, it's got a rebuilt engine in it.  This to me increases the value of the vehicle i am looking at approximately 2 dollars....rebuilt... whatever.

Ditto, Ditto, Ditto,  They ALL have new or rebuilt engines and at one time they all ran. Most ALL of the recent rebuilds looked like they were just dug out of the Bera(?) Tar Pits in Cali.

La Brea Tar Pits, California...I'm just jammed-packed full of useless information...

And, yes.  I'd take over a turning motor that won't start and has no compression, even one that's locked up any old day over the classic good old boy "rebuilt" job.  At least then it may not be too late....

Daily option ??  With a Dasher ? Surely You don't mean 5 days in a row. You are asking a lot.
I guess thats what you meant when you said "option"

Hey, I drove a Dasher as a daily driver for over a year with no problems.  8)  Well, no problems relative to it being a $300 car!    Some day I'll replace the head gasket and probably drive it another year.

When I first got it I bought new strut cartriges, dust covers and bump stops for it but then I was afraid if I actually installed them it might make it ride too rough, so I never installed them.  I also bought one new CV axle that I never installed.  And new front wheel bearings and hubs.  And a head gasket and new head bolts.  Some day . . .  Some day . . .  :sleepy1:
