We have 2 bugs that my husband started on about a year ago. Last December he hurt his back, and therefore is unable to finish this great project. We have already purchased over $900 worth of BRAND NEW PARTS for this project (we were going to use the 2 to make 1 bug, and 1 rail buggy). We have full glass for 1 of them and most of the glass from the other. They BOTH have engines, and are BOTH automatics!!! YES!! Automatics!! (Very rare!) The parts we have already purchased include fenders, floor pans, the part that goes under the back seat (very common place for bugs to rust out!), trunk, etc. There are TONS of parts we have purchased, we have one of the bugs stripped down to body & was beginning to sand blast the body0. The gray one is 1968; the red one is 1970. The pictures are pretty close to what the cars are today, other than the glass on the gray one has been removed.
We have the floor pans (two of them) for one of the bugs (either one, whichever u want to use them on, we never installed them). We have fenders, hood, trunk lid, lights, seat thing for the back seat, etc. that are all new METAL (not plastic) parts. The project got stalled early on, so it pretty much as just been started (the main demo work on the red one only). Honestly, this is a project my husband was doing with my daughter before he got hurt. Now, I just want them OUT of my yard!! Bottom dollar - if they're sold FAST would be $750 cash. Both of them have motors, trannys, etc. But I want them gone F - A - S - T! You would need someone to get a flat bed to haul them off (there is a tow company 2 doors down from us even!) because the red one is in PARTS and the grey one isn't "towable". 770-739-1559 JOHN - Please NO calls after 10pm - thank you!
