yes they did and instead of getting a tow truck he rigged his beetle tow bar to it and apparently it is side ways in his front yard with a mangled tow bar and the two vehicles still attached

I just picked up some parts for a couple of Audis I am working on.  I was aggravating Eric about it while I was there... seems that the story got better.  Evidently when he got the hitch undone, the wheels of the car (which has no brakes) were turned downhill.  A direction the car took to very well.  Right untill it hit a tree.   

I told him that from now on, any time he tries to get creative about anything, he is to call me first so I can bring a video camera....
