1986 Wolfsburg Cabriolet

« on: November 13, 2008, 01:11:33 AM »
I was out Sunday driving and found this beautiful car for sale.  I was looking at it and the owner came out. We talked and I took the information to post here.

1986 Wolfsburg Cabriolet (there is also a Karmann badge on it)

1.8 liter, fuel injected, 4 clyinder
Power steering
New brakes, front disc
New 5 speed transmission
New steering column
New belts
Recent tune-up
Recent oil/filter change (every 3,000 miles)
30+ MPG in town
Convertible top boot
Wind screen, behind front seats

$5,500 neg.

Call David P. Bell @ 423-476-2602

I have pictures, but they are too big and I lost my photo editing program in the Great Crash of '08.  Let me see if I can re-size them when I have time.  It really is a pretty car. Purple and all...

I have worked on this car.  David is a nice guy and his car is very nice.  In fact, I'm the one who put the transmission in the car.  Highly rec. if you're on the look out for a nice daily driver with a drop top.

Sounds nice but $5500 sounds a bit steep in my opinion, especially being up for sale in the fall/winter. It'd better have a brand new top, pad, headliner, and cables before I would even consider one that high in price.
