1985 Rabbit Convertible on Hwy 58

« on: November 03, 2011, 07:48:31 PM »
Saw this for sale on Hwy 58 in front of Carter's Shooting Supply:

1985 Rabbit convertible
White with black interior and a white top
Manual transmission
130K miles
$3000 obo
Seems kinda pricey for an 85 but it does say OBO and it's been there a few days

Body and paint looked pretty good (it was getting dusky dark when I looked at it)
Top in good shape
Drivers seat was worn but rest of interior looked decent
Good tread on tires

If your interested in another, I'll sell mine (with the cool wheels for like $1500.
Needs an oil pan gasket, but other than that is running well.
(I just replaced all the heater hoses, were originals!!!), and have all new radiator hoses for it.  Top is in good shape. shifter could use new bushings and the lower bearing in the steering shaft has dropped down, but these are fairly easy to fix and do not affect the drivability too much.
