I found this and thought I would post it.  I know if I had the money I would go look at it.

Up for sale is a 1980 VW Rabbit-truck LX(Caddy)with a 1.5l Diesel engine and 4spd transmission. This truck has been sitting for a couple of years so it will need some work to get it going again. Also has some rust. The previous owner said it needed glow plugs when it was parked. I just recently put a brand new set of glow plugs in and the motor will crank, but it still will need some work. I have too many projects to continue working on this one, so it's up for sale. Rare LX model with A/C from factory. Asking $950. Call 931-808-6598

Hey Big-D,   I can tell you now that you would not fit in the cab.  Its something about Your "Tool-shed" that would be drag'n  on the steering wheel.  I owned one of these and found out that the seat would not adjust back far enough to keep my legs off the dash and my arms out of my chest.  This truck is built for someone about  5' 7"  and 160lbs.   To bad because I sure would have enjoyed it.  VW should have added about a 1'   to the cab .
FYI  Did you know that these P.U. was designed and built in the U.S.A. and VWAG had nothing to do with it.  I belive that the whole assy line was bought by the Chech. Gov. and moved there.

Rabbit pickups and air-cooled kit cars with gull wing doors.... they do not like my frame.

Of course, it makes for a good laugh for everybody in sight when i try to fold myself up into them.
