Nice automatic bus.As of this weekend, the 1.8 has a new rear main seal and pushrod tube seals. The flex plate was beadblasted clean for installation. Weber progressive type Carb will need to be rebuilt.1.8 on the engine stand. tons of new parts and 14 inch new tires on Mercedes alloys.Recent brake job: ALL of it.KYB shocks added at all 4 corners.Brand new upper tent canvas still in the box.Brand new carpet and carpet padding made for this bus.(still in the box)Wiring under the dash has been unbolted and is just hanging as this bus had a complete color change. (big buck$ if you have ever thought about painting your old POS bus.)IT IS NOT RUNNING! Bill of Sale: Volkswagen Bus Westfalia camper 1974. Engine is out of this EX-daily driver. Needs finishing and or re-assembly after this paint job. WCM little boxes of hooks rubber or misc gaskets. The bus was painted some years ago, and the sliding door never got painted but matches ok. The bus was painted inside and out so it is hard to detect a color change. This is an expensive proposition if you have ever tried to do a full body color change. This is not just scuffing the panels, as the paint usually peels off in a few months. They did a good job. It needs some touch up here and there, and looks more like natural patina form the factory. Cool Safari color combo with a brand new in the box canvas tan top. Seat padding is also new in the bags from TMI. Lots more in new parts. The bad: The engine is sitting in the shop on an engine stand. Runs fine, but needs to be resealed as it is out of a low mile 914. For a little extra $ I can sell you a a 2.0 914 engine that would run. Please expect to have the engine tin re-installed and finished on your own. I will not perform this service. There are plenty of VW shops in town.Fixing paint chips and sliding door paint: Paint is probably an easy match by the computerized system they have today.couple of bubbles in the paint where rust is creeping through form crappy prep work maybe? Fine for a daily, but if you're picky...it is heavy surface stuff, nothing to worry about. So, here is the project. Add engine, tinker with this and that, and you have a neat daily ride after a little sweat and elbow grease.Should be an easy one to get back on the road. The cool thing...the Automatic!Little to no rust anywhere. So, no checks. No money orders. Don't stroke me on this with BS phone calls and stories about your inheritance is coming in a few months. You do a much better job stroking yourself.if the ad is still up, It is still for sale.
