1967 with complete interior, and 45 lbs of rust.

« on: May 16, 2008, 11:34:15 AM »
I have no dog in this fight -
There is a gentleman in Dalton that has a 1967 Beetle in a pasture that I looked at.  It is VERY rusty, but it is complete (as best I can tell.)  I am NOT NOT NOT interesed in it, but it does have the funky fenders and an the interior.

I didn't pay much attention to it, but it was rusty and has been sitting WAY longer than the 6 years or so as he stated.  He also has a '73 standard beetle that has a "rebuilt" engine and trannie for $500.  Once again it is a pile of rust and the engine is locked up.

His name is Charlie Long, Number is - 770-277-2864.

He is a 76 yr old fella so he talks alot AT you, rather than to you.
He seems nice enough, but don't believe his descriptions of the cars.
One might be able to get the '67 for less than the $500 of the '73.
In my opinion, both of them are not worth $500 for the pair.  But if someone needs the '67 stuff if might be worth that for the seats....

Any way, like I said, I have nothing in this.  Buyer beware, these things are rusty.  Did I mention that they are RUSTY.

Take care.
KC

Ugh, it is in Dalton, Ga.
Now about the color, I believe that it was white.  may have been pale blue, but the predominate color now is rusty.

Really though, I believe the interior was red as well.  Wasn't interested and really didn't pay that much attention to it.
Call him and he'll talk your ear off and give you directions.
Thanks,
KC
