Selling this project for a friend of mine...
1967 Beetle, original Ruby Red, now a faded re-spray with repairs done by myself and others...
What has been done: Lots of welding, some by me: The car has received New Rockers (complete assemblies), Floor Pans, Inner front and rear quarters, front apron and tire well, early model rear apron and decklid. The interior was gutted, but seat frames are all there. Actually, I stripped the seats years ago, when I owned the car, and welded / repaired the frames (67s have a bad habit of breaking the backrests, these are fixed now.) When I had ownership, I had welded up the trim holes, planning a sort of custom / Cal Look thing, hence the early style rear lid and apron as well. The original parts were way too crunchy to use.
The package shelf is still kinda crunchy, one might say swiss cheesy, and I was in the process of sourcing one when the interest began to die off. There is also still some minor work needed on the right front quarter. it can be cleaned up and filled, though... no welding required.
Up front is an adjustable beam, not narrowed.
Trans is there, engine is not.
The car is sitting on decent tread, but dry, tires on the original slotted steel 66-67 wheels... It's a mostly complete project that would be a relatively fast project, a cool rat, but my friend, like me, has had too many projects for a long time, and needs to thin the herd.
The car does have a clear Tennessee title, in my name, from when I had it still.
Asking $1800, keep in mind how much has already been done, so the body is that much further ahead.
The car is located at my work, Mountain Service Imports on Signal Mountain.
Before the question comes up.. nope, can't help out on finishing it up. He needs it gone, and I don't have time anymore to mess with my own stuff, much less other's projects.
I'll post up some pics tomorrow.
