1962 slammed beetle

Check out the my 62 project forum for pics.  selling my 62 beetle to focus on the thing and maybe a new project.  very little rust, had the back half of the floor pan patched with a patch panel,  new windshield,  decent interor,  alot of original stuff,  asking 3800,  don't need to sell so probably won't consider a lower offer,  has new tires on the front 145's,  cb performance lowered spindles,  6 inch narrow beam,  have origanal beam spindles and tierods shocks etc.  lowered in the read one outer sline 40 hp, 6 volt,  runs strong,  has an issue with battery or charging system, draw etc,  every couple of days i put it one the battery charger,  may consider a lower offer wo roof rack and lowering stuff. oh and new seat belts in the front and rear

Please excuse Scott, it's not slammed unless it knocks off the center road reflectors...

I mean it could..... not that it did.....  Is there a problem officer?

Until it's demise the 62 I had didnt have a scratch on the beam. It is possible on a LP car with the right tire combo and settings to lay one out without hitting stuff. Of course you have to be able to drive a lowered car to not knock the apron off.

And they only take out reflectors if ya hitt the brakes hard while your centered over them at high speeds. Duh!

thanks,  luckly the floor pans, body etc are still in good shape,  it sat for 5 years and the fuel tank and carb are being cleaned and the brakes redone,  it also has some electrical issues that parked the thing in the first place, i am going to get it running and driving then work on the eletrics, also i am going to start a new topic for the thing in the auto section

Hey Travis.....

Look familiar?

And reduced to $6100.... WOW..... ::)

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1051968

Looks like the electrics were converted to 12V.  So... With what i paid for the Westy, If i do nothing else but drive it, I should be able to get about $12k for it in a year or so, I guess....

I have seen it for several different prices 6500 was the highest,  maybe I should have held out for a little more, not sure if it is the same guy that has the car

I am getting tired of rapidly increasing car "values"

I think i'll hold on to what i got.  I don't think i could afford to replace either of them.   :(

We went to the churches cruise in and a guy offered 3500 for the rusty 67 and my dad sold it,  I tried to get the roof rack off of it but he said he wouldn't want it then
