You don't see Sciroccos for sale all that often.

Sciroccos are great. I got the head back on mine yesterday :D , now to reconnect everything and tackle some final drive seals once they come in the mail.

Personally I would never buy a car from a person that can't even post something as important as pictures of the car in the ad. That to me just screams "Stay away".

Amen to that.
If you are asking more than $500 for any thing, it should have a picture.  People are just not willing to waste the gas to "go and see" now.

Scirrocos bring back the memories. Good and bad. I owned 4 of them and 2 corrado's and then I saw the light(air) and never got back in the water.
They are sweet, I get to see a few of mine at shows and it makes me want one again.

. . . then I saw the light(air) and never got back in the water.  . . .  and it makes me want one again.

After I got into VW's (bugs, then buses) I never thought I'd own a water-cooled Volkswagen.  Then I got the Dasher . . . not 'cause I wanted a water-cooled VW, I just needed some kind of old clunker to get Joy back and forth to work at the rock quary where she works . . . about a 5 mile trip.  Never dreamed the thing would grow on me.  It actually turned out to be a pretty neat car!  Then we bought the Passat . . . needed a slightly bigger car with air conditioning and we found a good deal on the Passat.  Now I've gone and bought another water-cooled VW. Once it's on the road, it's probably going to be slower than the Dasher    Anyway, more on that later.  Next thing you know, I'm going to get tired of going slow and start looking for a Scirocco!    Somebody slap me! #-o

If anybody is interested in it. It looks to be worth the price since it is a 16v; however, definitely find out when the timing belt was last changed and see that the tranny has be taken care of due to the close ratio 020's having the SMS(self machining syndrome). It could definitely use a buffing from the pictures.

The Raddo's are probably what ruined you for watercooled. You have to own two of them just to have one as a driver.

Very true. But they were fun. I ride around town in some friends newer vw's from time to time. And I might have driven a few recently not that Im admitting it. Yeah they are fun but then I'd wanna jaz it up to race car status then I might as well be drivin a Honda again.
