This list is for an friend at the symphony. She's owned this car since new and transferred the title to her father several years ago. So a 1-family car! Includes window sticker, canceled check made out to Southland (Chattanooga) VW, piles of receipts, etc. Mostly original in and out with a recent basecoat/clearcoat paint job. Unfortunately, a few scratches in front fender, filler in rear fender that has cracked the paint, and a few bubbles behind the rear window. Pans replaced, nose is clean, bend in front bumper (related to the scratches). No rust I could find (and I know where to look). Interior original except for new headliner. Rip in driver's seat-otherwise OK. Working AM-FM Sapphire XIX and 8-track deck between seats. Engine has about 5K-rebuilt by Don Roberson in Daisy. Runs and drives well other than typical 34PICT issues. If you're looking for a really nice driver that's a paint job and seat recovering away from a very correct show car, this is worth a look! The above is my personal assessment, below is her e-mail to me and contact info:
I purchased a tangarine Karmann Ghia in 1974. My father purchased it from me in 1982, and we're finally ready to find a new home for it.
I would really appreciate any advice you might have on pricing/selling the car in any venue other than ebay or Craig's list. My father is elderly and not in the best of health, so I want to make this as easy and profitable for him as possible.
Here's info on the car as provided by my father. If you have any interest or can offer direction, please email or call me at 423 605-9633. Thanks!
