'72 Beetle - For sale

« on: September 17, 2002, 11:12:42 PM »
This information was given to me to pass along...

There is a white '72 Beetle with fender skirts sitting in a car lot in Ooltewah, on the right just up on Highway 11, north of the Golden Gallon.  I looked at it, but wasn't drawn to it.  I did start it up, and only after several tries did it start up, though.  But once it started, it did sound rather smooth.  The engine compartment is dry, and there is no rust to speak of on the pans. The asking price is $3,700 (now this is me speaking...personally, I consider this too much).
You can contact the owner, Betty Hackett, at 396-2320 or cell phone, 902-1047.

Unless I'm mistaken, this car was at a car lot up in
Cleveland 6-8 months ago. It is, in my eyes, a 50 yard car.

No, I'm pretty sure it means that it looks good from 50 yards away... :p
