'71 Adventurewagen (Hi-top Bus) Sold

« on: December 19, 2012, 03:54:24 AM »
I'm selling Mo.  Unfortunately since we moved to Smyrna, TN I have barely drove it and one of the few times I did drive it to keep the carbs from gumming up I got a ticket for driving on a Monday with an antique auto tag. (I've learned Smyrna is a lot like Red Bank).  So, I would rather see someone else enjoy it than to see it sit.  It lived most of its life in southern california so very little rust.  Even the battery tray is solid.  It was repainted 2 years ago.  It has brand new rubber seals everywhere.  It has a brand new camper interior.  The previous owner put $3000 into the brakes 4 years ago.  It has new shocks and tires with less than 3k miles.  The engine is a 1600 single port with a doghouse oil cooler.  It has ran great and all regular maintence has been done since I've owned it.  It has a new drag link with no play in the steering wheel. It shifts smoothly and does not pop out of gear.
It comes with a additional deep cycle battery to run the cooler box.  The sink and stove are not plumbed because I did not intend on using them, but it wouldn't be to much trouble to remove the cabinet to fix to your liking.

I am asking $7000

Thanks for the compliments.  I wanted to post it here first because some of ya'll know the amount of work and qaulity put into it.  After the holidays I'm going to post it on the samba and craigslist also.
