I know absolutely nothing about Vanagons but there's one in Elizabethton, TN listed on eBay that seems worth looking at. It's a 1970 that's all there with some extras. It's no World Of Wheels show car but it looks like a pretty nice ride. The starting bid is $1500.00 with no stupid reserve (only skeerdy-cats use reserves). The item number is 200340624784

Did they list it as a 1970 Vanagon? Vanagons came around in 1980.

Ok, I went and looked and I guess that's the category listing's title. Doesn't look to bad for the price. A bit more rust than I like, but looks like it can be repaired (rather) cheaply. Up to $1825 as of this posting with just under 3 days left.

Here's the link

Yeah definitely not a Vanagon. It's got passenger tires too, those will need to  be replaced. But it looks definitely restorable from the photos, especially being a Westy.

I'd probably like to see some more shots of the camper interior, to see what might be missing.  the good news is that the fridge is still there, and that's usually the hardest to find (without paying up some dinero)...it would be a real plus if the water tank was still there too.

Not a bad ride at all.   It just might be a 44,000 mile Westy.   They like to rust like that from sitting around for long periods. Restoration work from what I see wouldn't be that bad, but you know how that goes sometimes.
Even I would be tempted on this one believe it or not.  Don't everybody faint at the same time

Just messing wit chu.  I hope you didn't choke on a Audi wiring problem. You don't really think I would buy one of those "varmints" did you.  Just "priming the pump" to see what would happen
