Yeah, it is a shame. That's why I say that people should choose the one they are going to go to and leave it at that. No need to worry about "why this" or "what's the reason for that". Do that too much and your head will explode from too much ranting and raving.
Sure, it is too bad that there are two shows going on the same weekend. Was is done on purpose? Who knows? Was it done with malice aforethought? Who knows? Was it done because it was the only weekend that the venue was available? Who knows?
I don't know...maybe it is just me. I like to think positive and not always negative about situations. Just like the Scottsboro show. It was great when it started. Then, things changed and it dwindled down to nothing in my book. Now it is jump-starting again. Did I have a fun time several years ago when the mosquitoes were so bad that we actually left after only one night of camping? No. It left a bad taste in my mouth (maybe it was the mosquito spray, I'm not sure). I didn't go back last year. This year, I thought to myself, "Self, let's give it another try." So I did. Even though it was hotter than Hades in the shade, and the gnats were thicker than soup at times, I sold more parts and made more money than I ever have at any VW show. Was it fun? It's hard to have fun when the weather and flying insects are working against you. Was it worth it? YES IT WAS!
My point is, I thought positive about a show and a situation that had made my list of "never agains" and it turned out to be better than I ever thought. I know that no amount of "positive thinking" will change this world or the minds of everyone in it, nor will it gurantee success. But for me, it just makes me feel better about things...and it makes good sense.
Not that I will be going to either of these shows...I'll be out of state. Which one would I go to if I was here? I choose...?
