We were planning on going.  There are two shows that weekend.  I won't be at either one.  My family and I are going to be in Florida that weekend.  Sunny beaches!

I would like to go, but I'm going to the show in Huntsville that weekend.  I've been committed to the Huntsville show for a year and the Knoxville show was just recently scheduled.   I've tried . . . but I've found out the hard way that I can't be in two places at once.   :?

Yeah, I'm sure its the one.  Away from the dealership...yay!  I did go to this new location last year.  I went looking for parts...found LOTS of toys!  Didn't buy any though.

The Huntsville show is at Point Mallard Park.  It's a weekend event with camping avalible.  The first 50 - 75 show cars will be parked on a concrete pad under a covered pavilion.  It has lots of grass (and a few trees) around the pavilion to park the rest of the cars and vendors.  The Scenic City Volks Folks have won the club participation award at this show two or three times in the past.  Last year we didn't have as many folks show up as normal, but we hope to change that this year.

There will probably be a few folks from Chattanooga that go to Knoxville, but the majority of the people I've talked to are planning on going to Huntsville.     8)

We're going to the Huntsville show after a wedding on Saturday afternoon so that we will be there for the evening and Sunday.  Like Zen said this one was scheduled on the calendar first!   :)

VWGirl,
           Thanks for choosing Bug'n in July! :D  :D  I
hope you have as much fun visiting as we will have
hosting...There are (at least) three camping options:
Camp at the show site- well-established park,
and can handle up to large RVs. Walk to the show in
the morning, and join the overnighters Sat. night!
Monte Sano State Park, 25 miles to the east in
Huntsville (show is actually in Decatur). Best bet for
cooler sleeping, as the elevation drops the temps.
Bankhead National Forest, less than as hour to
the west...A bit far, but best for primitive camping  .
Feel free to ask questions, as that's how you
find things out; looking forward to meeting you!

Well, I "suppose" since these are both two day shows, one could attend one show on Saturday and the other on Sunday . . . but Homer the Superbus is kind'a like me, old and slow and has to stop and rest pretty often.  I better not attempt both of them.

There was an error while liking
