Seems a shame to Tow something that is perfectly capable of makin it on its own.  Thanks Pops.  You could always drive my bus.  It will make it   Do you need some help with Homer?  Homers lack of an engine compartment seal might have something to do with his overheating problem.  You fixed the intake leak right?  Also, did you get fresh air hoses? Didnt we re-torque the heads last time Homer was @ my house?  Wonder if there Could be an intake leak at the manifolds?  Homer should not be over-heating. :?  :?:

I'm 99.9% sure it's an intake leak. I've fixed the engine compartment seal and that didn't help.  It was overheating before we pulled it out to fix the oil leaks . . . but it was worse when we put it back in.  My money is on the cracked intake boots I put back on it.  Thanks to William, I've got new intake boots (the kind you wrap around and install without having to pull the intake apart) and fresh air hoses, but every time it have time to work on it it's rained.  Some day, I gott'a build me a big garage . . . but it probably won't be before the Oktoberfest weekend.

One way or the other, Homer will make it to the dealership.

I'm planning on having the Village VW/Scenic City Scooters Formula Vee there, providing its on four wheels at that point. Otherwise, I might just bring it "as is", with three wheels attached, one wheel assembly complete with the other part of the spindle that was pulled out of the woods some 500 yards down-track, and lots of genuine Savannah sand!

Ask me how my weekend went...

I'm going to assume that you have had better weekends.  3 wheels, 4 wheels, it really doesn't matter . . . it'll draw a crowd either way.

I hope everyone can make it out and show support for our friends at Village Volkswagen. They are excited about us coming and they are a great sponsor of our show and our club. Plus free beer and free food, what more could you want?
