I'll be there...do I need to get any judging tally sheets together, or do they provide all that stuff?

The past two years they have supplied the registration materials and I'm "assuming" that they will again this year.

For judging last year, we just took a spiral notebook for each class and as they registered, wrote the name and short description of the car in the appropriate class.  When registration ended, we sent judges out with the notebooks and they wrote down the scores.

Depending on the turnout, judging isn't "too" bad.  Most classes have been having about the same number of trophies as cars . . . and since it's a "Top 25," "Top 10," etc. all we have to do in most cases is elimnate the bottom two or three and we are done with the classes.  The "Best Of" trophies are the toughest.

For everyone who were able to make it to The Labor Day show in Lafayette.......THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to especially thank Cindy who worked sick all day. Thank You, Cindy!! The weather was good most of the day with a breeze blowing and we didn't get rained on. It was overcast pretty much most of the day. Everything went pretty well this year with no real problems.

I'd also like to thank all the dedicated members who spent their Labor Day at the show.  Labor Day.  The name seems to fit, doesn't it!     I think there were 165 cars (plus or minus a couple) entered in the show.  I believe there were more vendors than the past couple of years as well.  There were a lot of super nice cars in the show . . . everything from original Model A Fords to pimped out ricers.

The only thing this show needs is for more NICE VWs to show up.  Homer the Superbus won a "Top 5 Air Cooled VWs, 1968 and up" trophy.   :D   I rest my case.   8)

If I'm not mistaken, this year was a little bigger than last year's show.  The spectator attendance was up for sure.  For the first time in about 6 years, spectators had to start parking along the side of the highway!  I don't know how much money was raised for the Stocking Full of Love, but I'm sure it was up from last year.  A lot of kids are going to have a brighter Christmas morning because of the efforts of everyone who helped pull this event off.   :santa:

Again, to everyone of you who worked the show, THANK YOU!   =D>
