I think I'm gonna cruise up Saturday morning and not camp this year. Driving something with air conditioning sounds better. :)

I'm cool with Wildwood, I just wanted to see some of the old cars. I'll try to be at Wildwood at 8...but I'm not a morning person. I might see you at the Pilot, or I might see you at the show. We will see

I got everything cleared from behind Homer (he's been parked since last August, so a lot of "stuff" had accumulated behind him), got the kiddie car and single wheel unhooked from him, charged up the battery and he started right up.  But the more I think about it, the more I want to adjust the valves and change the oil before another road trip.  It's been so long since I drove him, I can't remember the last time I did any routine maintenance.  Plus, the rear engine compartment seal is bad and I haven't been able to effectivly patch it.  It's ran pretty hot the last few trips I taken in it.  It's also got an exhaust leak.  So, if y'all don't mind, I'll caravan over with y'all driving Joy's Kia.  I'll see y'all tomorrow morning at Wildwood.

Had a good time at the Bug Blast yesterday. It was hot, but breezy and a passing shower seemed to cool everything off for a little bit.

I got video of the burnout contest:

No sooner did we leave the show, the generator in Eike's Ghia blew up. We located another one at the show and we put it back in.

Less than a minute into the video and the red '56 goes into the wall... unbelievable.

Thats awesome that you guys were able to get the generator fixed back up with another one at the show. Sorry I couldn't help you, we were already entering downtown when I got the call and I didn't have anything to help out with. By the way it looked in the video, the pit crew got him back on the road in no time... although I'm not sure if Russ recorded the whole thing; the video ended when he was questioned about it!

Fun show. I definitely want to go back and camp for a night or two in the next year or two.

Ask me sometime if anybody cares. and I will show you how to change out a gen. without jerking all that stuff off, Only the carb has to come off. Takes about 20 min. if you are really slow . Done it this way for years. And yes everything was put back on.

I've heard for over a year now that you were going to do a tech session explaining the groves on the pulleys
