Sorry guys!  Doesn't look like I'll get to make at all.  Not even after call like I was hoping.

The Volks Folks just got a big thank you from someone who broke down on the way back to Dalton.

Its not every day does somebody stop while your broke down on the side of the road. This past weekend on june 7th my wife and I were coming back from the Stevenson Al. bug blast, almost home to Dalton Ga. we smelt somthing burning, to my surprise i had smoke coming from the left rear tire, I pulled over immediatley, to check the prob., when almost right at that moment a Green VW bus stopped behind me and a silver VW rabbit in front of me. Forgive me I dont remember there names, But i do remember they were from CHATTANOOGA VOLKS FOLKS CLUB.. well it turned out to be the pads had pressed up along the drums and caused a bit of smoke. A easy fix with a screwdriver and i was on my way, now i had just bought the bug 2 weeks prior and just getting started on my vw so im new to it all and would not have known how to adjust the brakes if those two gentleman had not stopped so, Thanks so much guys!! maybe well run into eachother again, I cant wait to get started on my 73 project...

Guys, I have split and merged the last few posts back into 74loaf's original thread. It was having less and less to do with Stevenson!
