THE DATE IS SUNDAY, SEPT. 7th, not the 9th.

Cindy, did you borrow my calendar?   LOL  You got it right on calendar, just had the date wrong in the post.

There will be a caravan leaving from the Bi-Lo in Ooltewah on Saturday the 6th at 10am.  Those folks will be camping (or motel'n) overnight somewhere in the Taccoa area.  The two most talked about places are the Tallulah Gourge State Park (VERY NICE CAMPGROUND with facilities) and at the show site (free, but only 1 bathroom).

There will be another caravan leaving from the Bi-Lo in Ooltewah Sunday morning for those that want to make it a one day trip.  Anyone know what time that caravan is leaving?  I think I heard 6:00am? ???

Anyone who wants to ride over with us is welcome to join, even if you're not in the club.  Bring your FRS Radios!

Details of who's going when should be posted in the club member's section, not in this public section of the board.

Must be that Euro-style date format that this board uses, so you get 07-09-03 and you think "oh, July 9th", but NOOOO, it's "seventh-September", or "seven-September".  Do they really talk like that? ???

I fixed it.  The Sunday group will leave at 6:00 am so that we can get down there in plenty of time for the swap meet.

Just got back home from the show/swap meet/campout/party/engine and transmission overhaul session/whatever else you might want to call it, and I have to say that IF you are going to drop a valve and destroy a piston, right across the road from the Stevens County Fair Grounds the afternoon before the Southeastern Bug Fair is where and when you want to do it.

Thanks to everyone in the swap meet area that supplied me with parts, everyone who loaned me tools, gave me advice, and helped me get back on the road.  Homer the "Super Bus" made it back home under it's own power.  Thanks again to everyone who helped make it happen!

Some pictures of the engine swap are located here.

I have to say I was impressed.  With the amount of time that I took to locate a new engine and do the swap, Zen and helpers did a great job!

There is a silver lining to every cloud.  This rod (complete with the busted piston) will be featured on BP-6's Roughest V-Dub Running Trophy!
