The Food Drive is just a little over a week away!

We will start gathering at the Burger King on Amnacola Hwy. (across from the Police Services Center) at 5:30 PM on Wednesday, December 12th.  At about 5:55 we will leave for Ross's Landing.  We will be featured LIVE on the 6 O'Clock News (Channel 3 . . . I think)!

We need everyone that has a running VW to show up if at all possible.  Last year we had a club record 10 Volkswagens in the food drive . . . this year we want to have at least 20!  If you have more than one VW, try to find someone to drive that second one!  We need all the VWs we can round up this year!  Feel free to decorate them for Christmas . . . bows, ribbons, lights, etc.  If you have a set of Club Logo magnets, please bring them along!  I'll drive my bus and bring plenty of paint . . . if it's not raining we can decorate it as a rolling Volks Folks billboard!  This is a great PR oportunity for the Volks Folks.  We not only help out the Food Bank now, we also get a little free exposure for Bug-A-Paluza which is where we really help out the Food Bank.

Oh yeah, don't forget to bring food!  Each VW should have at least one sack of food to drop off!

I talked to the Coddings last night and they will be there :biggrin:

We're planning to be there with the bus and lots of cans of food!!!  :xmas:

I'm not sure I'll be able to make it. My step-father just passed away.  I'm taking Mom to the funeral home in the morning to make arrangments, so I have no idea what will be happening just yet.  I'll do my best to make the food drive, but I may end up sitting it out this year.

the drive went great .. we were the last to drive thorught and when we did the  crowd clapped and all of them said thanks VWS and the volksfolks of chattanooga... so we musta done great good;))))
