Thanks

Howdy Russ,

Thanks for the address confirmation, and nice to be remembered. Yes, I got moved ok, except for... the VW Bug ... so I will be in my PT Cruiser.

Back in CA, the bug got an enormous crack in the windshield, and the guy I hired to replace it broke four trying to put in the replacement.  The real problem was he skipped out on me, and I had to transport the car without a windshield. Lucky for everybody, it didn't rain while the car was being hauled.

See you at 7.

What a cruise-in! Lots of cars, lots of new faces. I tried to meet as many newcomers as I could. Brian counted a total of 20 cars, I should have brought a camera. Here's some cameraphone pics I took before it got dark. This was FeeBee's first public appearance that I know of, and the first time to see Smitty's yellow 21 window deluxe bus.

That Turbo bug sounded like it had a cylinder a little on the weak side.

I blame the blindness on a smooth new engine Its sort of like sex. I have heard that good sex will make a lot of things go blind for awhile.

WOW, what a turnout we had for the cruise-in.  8)   The Sonic parking lot was clogged with VWs and we spilled over into KFC's parking lot.  It was great to see all the new faces and cars . . . y'all please come back and hang out with us again!

I've got two 5 megapixal digital cameras (lost one, bought a new one, then found the one I lost   ) and I recently put a new 2 gig memory card in both of them and I've got a dozen or more rechargable AA batteries charged and ready to go . . . and I left all of it on my computer desk Friday evening!   ](*,)  Maybe I'll remember one of them next time and snap a few pictures.   :tard:

PS -- Debbie, here is a link to a wiring diagram for Feebee -- http://www.vintagebus.com/wiring/bug-71.jpg . . .  that might help y'all trace down the sourse of Feebee's blindness.

If anyone needs any other wiring diagrams for air-cooled VWs, go to http://www.type2.com and click on the Library link on the side bar, then on Primary Electrical link at the top and the first link that page gives is for wiring diagrams . . . scroll down the list and fine what you need.
