Ringgold Christmas Parade

I have learned the "form up" time for the Ringgold parade is 5pm on Friday the 5th of December. I'm not real sure how many of us would be able to make that time deadline on a Friday afternoon. I do NOT know exactly what time the parade starts.

Alan H informed me there was a parade in Chickamauga, GA on Saturday the 6th but I don't have a form up time for that one.

There is also a parade in Ooltewah Sunday afternoon the 7th and the time on that one is 3pm.

I don't think the Ringgold parade is very feasible for a large group of us to attend so what do ya'll think about the parade in Chickamauga or Ooltewah?

Post a reply soon so we can call whichever and make the neccessary arrangements.

I can get to Ringgold High School by 5:20-5:30, but if we have to be lined up by 5:00 there's no way I can make it.  I would guess that they START lining up at 5:00 but if you got there a little later you could still get a spot.  Does anyone know for sure?

The Chickamauga and Ooltewah parades sound interesting.  I could probably make either (or both) of those.  Anyone know any details on them yet?   ???

It would be hard for us to make the parade at 5 on Friday but we could probably make Sunday.  I think we have plans for Saturday.  Might need to check to see what they would need for us to do this.  The Cleveland parade is Saturday and they are requiring copies of auto insurance for cars in their parade.

Betty and I will be there with the stretch.  We are waiting for a fax to fill out and return to enter the club. They start to line up at 5:00 pm. Parade starts at 6:00 pm.

The line up time for the Ooltewah parade will be at 1:30 on Little Debbie Parkway just down from Burger King. There is a planning meeting tonight at Collegedale City Hall at 7pm if anyone wants to go. Cindy, there is a $20 fee for the Ooltewah parade and this money goes to The Samaritan Center. I will get with you about that.

Who's still planning on the Ringgold Parade on Friday?  I know that Kyle and Betty are planning on bringing the Vanagonagon and I'm getting off a little early (had to go in early 3 days this week   ) so I'll be there with Homer the "Super Christmas Bus" (complete with lights on the rain gutters, Christmas music on the stereo and a candy can antenna) . . . Herb? Allan? Anyone else?  ???

Has anyone found out about Chickamauga's parade?   ???

I will be there.

As for last nights meeting for the Ooltewah parade. We need to meet at the Bi Lo in Ooltewah at 1pm and go as a group to the "form up" area. I was told there were 3,500-4,000 spectators at last years parade and the weather is looking to be better than last year. Pretty with a high temp in the mid 50's. We have a few members committed to coming and would like to see more there.

See ya'll Friday night and Sunday!!!

(Dee and I will not be able to attend the Chickamauga parade on Saturday)

We had 4 VWs in the Ringgold parade . . . Feilding's "Herbie" led the way, Kevin followed close behind him in "Whitey," "Homer the Superbus" was next, and Kyle and Betty's "Stretch" (a.k.a. "The Vanagonagon") brought up the rear.

I won't be able to make the Ooltewah parade.  My son Will has the flu and it caused his blood sugar to go through the roof.  He spent last night in intensive care, but got moved to a room today.  He should be home tomorrow.  Hope y'all have a good turnout in Ooltewah!

Well, we missed the Ooltewah parade, but on the bright side, we have a newly painted bathroom with a new tub surround.

I had a friend tell me that he saw those VWs who were in the parade though.
